Summer Road Trip Essentials!!
Hello hello! This past weekend I went on a road-trip to the Adirondacks, New York. It was so much fun! I thought I would share a bit about the weekend getaway and some road trip essentials for anywhere you may be going this summer!
The car ride was long but it was so worth it! We left pretty early in the morning and made it there around the mid-late afternoon. The view was absolutely beautiful! Along with that, there was no service where I was so it was really nice to have a break from my phone and social media. It was a lot of canoeing, playing games and just embracing the moment during the small amount of time I was there!
Here is a list of my top 5 essentials for any road-trip I may go on!
SNACKS! And lots of ‘em. Especially for a long car ride! This is an obvious one but I thought I’d still add it because it is definitely one of the biggest essentials for any trip!
Disposable camera. On this trip, I brought a disposable camera with me and I cannot wait to see the pictures. Of course, any camera will do and yes with this particular camera you can’t see the pictures right away, but since the disposable ones are so cheap I think it's perfect if you are worried about damaging or losing your nice camera or phone! The camera also gives such a nice effect on the photos and you will have the physical print outs!
A book. A relaxing vacation is the perfect time to catch up on some reading! Plus, if you don’t have a clue what book to read next on your upcoming trip I have two book reviews for you! ;)))
A pillow. I used to never bring pillows on my road trips and I honestly think it was because when I was younger I didn’t appreciate naps as much as I do now and had tons of energy. However, nowadays a pillow is necessary to make sure I am comfortable and maybe even able to get a nice nap in during a long trip.
Cards/ Games. This one is not really while you are on the road but more for when you are at your destination. Even though when going on a trip you want to make the most out of it and not stay cooped up inside, there is always a little downtime for a fun game with whoever you may be with!
