Book Review
Hello, hello! I have yet another book review here for you! I have been such a bookworm this season and I am currently reading my favorite author Bob Goff’s newest book, ‘Dream Big.’ With all of this extra time we have now is perfect to read all those books you “never had the time” for. Without further ado, here are 3 more book recommendations!
Regretting You by Colleen Hoover
This book is about a young girl (Clara) and her mother trying to figure out their lives now that they have lost their father/husband and sister/aunt in a horrible accident. However, throughout the story some light is shed on family secrets that Clara and her mother wish they had never known. This book switches back and forth between the perspectives of Clara and her mom and the difficulties they have not just with the situation at hand but with each other as well. The story of the book will definitely get at your emotions!
Before We Were Strangers by Brenda Novak
This book focuses on the life of a girl named Sloane and how she has to go about returning to her hometown after running away ten years before. A lot has changed in her life since then, but something she has never forgotten is why/how her mother disappeared mysteriously when Sloane was 5 years old. As Sloane returns and begins to unfold the story we see all the obstacles and twists that come her way. If you are a fan of full circle endings, you will definitely want to read this!
Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris
This book is definitely the darkest one out of these three (sorry I’m a fan of mystery/thrilling books). The book goes back and forth between the past and present time of the main character Grace. We see how she falls in love and begins to live her fantasy life but how it all changes when her husband is not who she expected him to be. This book had me on the edge of my seat and surprised me even when I thought I knew the answers to what was going on! 10/10
