My Favorite Fashion Trends (& how to style them!)
I have always loved fashion and trying out new trends, but sometimes it can be hard! I often feel that it’s hard to try out new trends when not knowing how exactly to style them or not knowing how the look will end up. On top of that, money can make it more difficult because you don’t want to waste money on something you will never wear again. I thought I would put together a list of my favorite fashion trends right now and how I like to style them!
Sweater Vests
This was something I started to see a lot this year especially this Fall. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, but now I can say that I am obsessed with this trend. Sweater vests can be worn in a more oversized style or more tight fitting. I personally love wearing more oversized sweater vests. For a more casual look, I like to pair these vests with a long sleeve mock neck or turtleneck underneath the sweater vest, with blue jeans and sneakers or chunky boots. For a more dressy look I like to wear either black jeans or dress pants with the same mock neck or turtleneck under the sweater vest. Add some nicer booties/heels, some jewelry and that's it! I’ve found my sweater vests from the thrift store or H&M for a really good price!
Jackets! Jackets! Jackets!
One of my favorite ways to spice up outfits is to add an interesting jacket to it! My personal favorite is the classic denim jacket. I love to play with color and pattern when wearing jackets. Something that I have been seeing a lot recently are corduroy jackets. I have found mine at the thrift store and American Eagle for decent prices! I like to keep whatever I am wearing under the jacket pretty basic so either leggings or jeans with a white tee or solid long sleeve shirt. I find most of my jackets at the thrift store so if you are ever looking for some cool jackets for a good price I highly recommend going there first!
Chunky Boots
I love the grunge vibe these types of boots add to outfits! My two favorite kinds of these boots are the classic black Dr. Martens or Chelsea boots. I found mine at H&M for a really affordable price! These boots go with most outfits but I personally love to pair mine with jeans (especially when wearing jackets or sweater vests!)
Hair Scarves and Clips
Adding accessories to your outfits can add so much to it without really doing that much work. I love to throw my hair up in those big claw clips for a really easy and cute ponytail. Along with that, I love to add hair scarfs to an outfit to make a casual outfit look more interesting. There are so many ways that you can use these things in your hair so it’s fun to play around and see the specific ways that you like to wear it best! I was given some claw clips from Amazon and they come in a pack of 6 with multiple colors. They are super affordable and really cute! I also recommend Etsy for hair scarves because that is where I find most of mine!
Layered Jewelry
Like I said before, accessories add so much to your outfit without really having to put much effort into it. I love to layer simple or dainty necklaces to make a casual white tee and jeans look more put together. I also love to wear rings! I find most of my jewelry for affordable prices off of Etsy or other Small Businesses!
