My Favorite Winter Fashion Trends (& How I Style Them!)
‘Tis the season of layering and getting bundled up! Winter is one of my favorite seasons to style for and this year I have been OBSESSED with so many different trends. I have put together a few of my favorite trends and winter styles right now and how I personally would style them!
Puffer Jackets
This is by far my favorite of all of these trends. It is so simple, but can make such a difference when styled in different ways. I love the look of cropped puffers because they don’t hide your outfit too much! Along with that, these jackets come in so many different colors so you could make it more of an everyday jacket with a more neutral color or you can spice up your wardrobe even more by getting a bright color! I like to wear these with jeans or leggings as my bottoms, a turtleneck or mock neck as my top and some chunky boots for my shoes!
Crewneck Over a Dress Shirt
I love how much this trend makes such a comfy look appear more classy. Along with that, I love the vintage look it gives to an outfit! While this style may not be just a winter trend, I absolutely love layered looks for this season. Take a basic sweatshirt and layer it over a collared button down shirt. I would wear some loose fitting jeans with my white Nike Air Forces to finish off this look!
Chain Link Jewelry
One of my favorite ways to spice up my outfits is to add lots of jewelry. The trend of chain-link jewelry is so elegant while still being just basic enough to wear as everyday bracelets or necklaces. I usually prefer to wear more gold accents when it comes to bracelets and necklaces and I like to wear them to make a basic outfit more dressed up!
Trench Coat
These jackets add so much to the most simple outfit. Not only are these jackets a statement, but that they keep you pretty warm too! Since the classic trench coat is a neutral beige color, I like to pair this with an all black outfit underneath to add some contrast and make it look more interesting. Along with that, I would of course add some jewelry!
Small Bags
This again is something that is not just strictly a winter trend but I like it best with layered outfits! Small bags add such an interesting factor into your outfit and there are so many to choose from. Along with that, I think they make any outfit look more vintage which is one of my favorite styles!! I would pair this with the crew neck over a dress shirt outfit OR as an accent on any basic layered outfit like a mock neck, with a sweater vest over top and jeans!
