My favorite Cafes in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach Area

It’s National Coffee Day!! AKA the best day of the year. As many of you know, I am a coffee addict and I love finding new cafes and drinks to try. Since I am back at school and in honor of today, I thought I would compile a list of some of my favorite local cafes to go to.

  1. Bad Ass Coffee

Located in Virginia Beach, this little cafe looks more like a small beach home. There are multiple food options (I personally love their breakfast sandwiches) and you always feel a fun summer vibe no matter what time of year you go. I love their Vanilla coffees or their frozen/blended drinks!

  2. Cure Coffee House

Located in Downtown Norfolk, this cafe is not only super cute but a nice place to do work or even study. They have a wide array of drinks (and food) that are not like what is sold at most cafes. My favorite drink is the Crazlenut Latte with almond milk!

  3. American Brew

Also located in Virginia Beach, this cafe is spacious and has a very boho/country theme. Along with the variety of coffees, American Brew has many food options that are slightly more substantial than your typical cafe food. My favorite item they have there is the Avocado Toast with Egg!

  4. Coalescence

This is a fairly new place to me (and to the area!) It has a very industrial theme and is really big (perfect for social distancing). They too have a very interesting menu and are very big into crafting the perfect cup of joe. I currently have not been there enough to have a favorite item, but everything I have gotten so far has been great!

  5. Fair Grounds

Located on Colley Avenue, Fair Grounds is super unique and has a very cozy/homey vibe. Another perfect place to get work done or study and they have delicious pastries! A lot of students in the area love to go here to get work done. My favorite thing to get is their Caramel Iced Coffee!
